The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering, YunTech was established in August 1994 to offer a 2-year BS Program. Four years later, Graduate and Doctoral programs in Construction Engineering were established, followed one year later by the full BS program.

In August 2001, A Part-Time Master’s Degree Program was established.

In November 2006, the Department was accredited by the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET).

In August 2007, four graduate students were admitted from Belize, and a full-time Master’s Degree program was established specializing in Construction & Property Management.

In August 2008, the 2-year BS Program was suspended.

In August 2012, a one-year special program was established with the Department of Civil Engineering at Cross-Strait College, Fujian University of Technology in mainland China.

In August 2016, the one-year special program was replaced with the Department of Engineering Management at Cross-Strait College, Fujian University of Technology in mainland China.

In August 2016, a graduate program for international students was established. Graduate courses offered by this program are all speaking in English.
